Fan types available
250 to 1250mm diameter (larger sizes to special order)

Standard Units: the impeller is fitted direct to the motor
which is mounted within a cylindrical casing.

Long Case Units:
These are flanged at each end with
clearance holes for mounting onto existing ductwork.
The motor connections are wired to an external terminal
box. Sizes 400 and above have a removable access panel
for inspection and cleaning.

Short Case Units:
These are flanged at each end with
clearance holes for mounting onto existing ductwork.
There is no external terminal box or removable access
panel, connections being made direct to the motor
terminals.

Higher temperature special units are available.

Motors can be supplied for Safe area or Flameproof
applications.

Contra-Rotating Units: capable of increasing the pressure
by a factor of 2.5. Details available on request.

Casings of all types of units are fabricated in heavy gauge
mild steel.
The units are hot dip galvanised to BS 729. Alternitively,
Polyester Powder or Epoxy Paint finish can be specified.
The sizes and flange hole details are in accordance with
BS 6339 and ISO 6580. Other standards are available to
costumers order.

Standard motors are 'D' frame totally enclosed fan vetilated
squirrel cage design and comply with BS 5000 Pts 10 & 99
and relevant parts of BS 4999. All motors have greased for
life shielded ball bearings. The are suitable for mounting in
a horizontal or vertical plane.

All units are fitted with Breezax impellers having glass
reinforced polypropylene blades or glass reinforced Nylon
and aluminium hubs. Aluminium blades are supplied for
high temperature applications. The pitch of the blades
may be altered on site but care must be taken to keep
within the power of the motor fitted.

For performances details of run/standby or contra-rotating units
consult DAME-Ltd.
Fans are tested in accordance with method 1BS 848 Part 1:1963*.
Under this Method, test results are corrected to standard air
density 1.2kg/m³.
Any variation in individua fan performance due to slight
manufacturing variation falls within the Class B tolerances
of the above British Standard. Fan Sound levels are given
on the Performance Curves together with Octave Band Spectrum.
(The Sound levels have been determined by the in-duct method
as specified in BS 848 Part 2 1966).
Performance curves for each fan size are available from DAME-Ltd.

* Revision to BS 848 Part 1:1980. Existing curves approximate to new
  test method D.
